Talking about developments in the education sector of Europe, of course experts point their finger at Jean Piaget, as ‘The father of modern teaching’.

So true. But to transfer his basic ideas into the fertile building blocks of a truly modern, competitive and peaceful Europe, we need the daily force of a huge army of highly skilled and well paid professionals. Researching, writing, teaching, training and doing the unavoidable political work.

People like 69 year old Greek Cypriot professor Andreas Demetriou. Who started his carreer as a developmental psychologist. And in later years served as a Minister of Education and Culture of Cyprus.
