|Around the 1900s many European artists, architects and designers get fed up with the industrial atmosphere of the 19th century. Where strictly commercial goals only condone the overhasty artificial reproduction of commercially succesful ideas.
Sounds familiar, doesn’t it.
Croation architect Vjekoslav Bastl is one of those secessionist or separatist Builders of Europe, who wants ‘old-fashioned’ craftsmanship to become the central force in architecture again. With room for inspiring new ideas and influences (from Japan for example).
